The WordPress Core trigger runs a workflow in response to a native WordPress event, such as publishing a post or registering a user. No form plugin is needed.
When to use it
Use it to automate around your site’s own activity: summarize every new post, welcome each new user, moderate incoming comments, or act when a post changes status.
Supported events
Choose WP Event from the WordPress group, then pick one event:
- Post published (publish_post): fires when a post is published. Condition: post type.
- User registered (user_register): fires when a new user signs up. Condition: user role.
- Comment inserted (wp_insert_comment): fires on a new comment. Conditions: comment type and post type.
- User login (wp_login): fires when a user logs in. Condition: user role.
- Post status changed (transition_post_status): fires when a post moves between statuses. Conditions: from status, to status, and post type.
Conditions
Each event exposes conditions so the workflow only runs when they match. For example, set Post Type to run only for a specific content type, or set From Status and To Status to run only when a draft becomes published. Leave a condition on Any to match all values.
Using event data
The event exposes the related object (the post, user, or comment) to the workflow. Reference it with [Input from trigger-1], or a named field where available. See Data Flow and Variable Handling.
Local and Cloud
No credits. The event is detected on your WordPress site. In Local vs Cloud execution Cloud mode the run is then handed to the hosted engine.
