Version 2.0 is a major relaunch. If you are updating from a 1.x release, your workflows, settings, executions, and data are preserved. This page explains what changed and what to check after you update.
One free plugin, no more Lite and Pro
The separate Lite and Pro plugins and the old license system are retired. There is now a single plugin that is free to install. Every node type works in Local (BYOK) mode with your own AI provider key. There is nothing to unlock and no license key to enter.
An optional cloud service sits alongside it for people who want keyless AI or hosted execution. It is entirely optional. See Local vs Cloud execution.
What happens to your 1.x license
If you held a 1.x license, connect a free account after updating and your benefits are migrated automatically to monthly credits. There are no manual steps. Open the Account panel in the builder after updating to see your status. See Your account and credits.
Run Local or Cloud, per workflow
The biggest new concept is the per-workflow execution mode. Each workflow can run Local (free, your own keys, nothing sent to us) or Cloud (our hosted engine and keys, metered in credits, no PHP timeouts). You can mix both on the same site. A related option, keyless AI, routes only the AI calls through our proxy so you do not need a provider key.
Your chatbot is now an AI agent
The Chatbot node became one unified agentic system. It can reason step by step and take actions: run your workflows and tools, search your site, and more. Simple chatbots keep working exactly as before. New alongside it: live human handoff to Chatwoot, Zendesk, or Intercom, an Operator Inbox, interactive product and content cards, opt-in file uploads, and chat memory. See the Chatbot node guide.
New nodes and capabilities
- Connect an App: bring Google, Slack, Notion, GitHub, and thousands more apps in as action steps.
- Generate PDF: six templates or your own HTML, with a free live preview.
- Knowledge Base (RAG): a private knowledge base from pasted text, your content, or uploaded PDF, DOCX, and TXT files. See Knowledge Base.
- Loop node: repeat steps over a list or until a condition is met.
- Structured multi-output from the AI node: named, typed fields that flow straight into later steps.
Build faster
The workflow generator is now interactive: it asks a few clarifying questions and lets you pick the model before building. An in-canvas AI assistant command bar can edit the canvas from a description, and a live execution panel shows each node running in real time. New installs get an onboarding walkthrough. See Generate a workflow with AI.
A fresh look and renamed features
The builder has a fully redesigned dark UI, a dynamic live model catalog, a rebuilt chat widget that is isolated from your theme, and a redesigned email compose node. Variable references now show as friendly pills with a / picker instead of raw bracket syntax. The old custom MCP-server action node is replaced by Connect an App. The Firecrawl web scraper was rebuilt for Firecrawl v2.
What to check after updating
- Open AI Workflows and confirm your existing workflows are present.
- Open Settings and confirm your AI provider keys are still saved.
- If you had a 1.x license, connect an account from the Account panel to migrate your benefits.
- Decide which workflows should run Local and which should run Cloud.
